Once again, we open the doors of our factory to have a conversation with Víctor Muro, the person whose role is to link departments and articulate the daily tasks.

INDUSER Interviews

The links in the chain are joined through an artisanal work, a task that Víctor Muro has been performing at INDUSER since December 2021. Víctor is “the Production team”. He is the only person who performs this function in INDUSER. How do you make a "team" when you are by yourself? We find the answer every day in the way in which Víctor relates to all the other people involved in the manufacturing process of a packaging line.

Below is the conversation we have had with him with the intention of bringing you closer to our factory and culture, our day to day activities,  an approach to the way we like to work.

Tere: What are your functions as the only member of the Production Team?

Víctor: I am the connection point between different departments: Management, Contract review, factory and technical office.

Tere: And what challenges does this job entails?

Víctor: In my previous job -which was totally different- I already had to collaborate with many colleagues and coordinate different projects. It is a job that requires you to listen, to observe, to pay attention so that you don't miss anything. When I entered, everything was new to me. I used to get nervous, but I manage it well. That is needed for this type of responsibilities, a calm attitude, a resilient character.

Tere: What do you like the most about running the production of our packaging lines?

Victor: Everything! I enjoy learning new things, practically every day there is a new learning.

Tere: What do you value most about working as a team?

Víctor: The experience of my colleagues, getting to know them, discovering what each one can contribute to me. Teamwork for me is recognizing that each person you meet has something to share with you to be better.

Tere: So that we understand it better, what is your work process like on the daily basis?

Víctor: Dynamic. I have to be conscient about everysingle project. We support in techonology. The truth is that at INDUSER we use various programs that are easy and intuitive that help us to have visual and quick control to be able to see the tasks, what status they are in, what things are pending. Here the key is to keep the information up to date, to give the appropriate follow-up, so that we all see the same thing. The tool we use helps us to control, and by "control" I mean trying not to let details slip away, so that a date doesn't slip because "something was missing". Although we cannot control our suppliers, we can carry out an order to reduce risks and comply with what we agree with our clients.

Tere: What is it like to be in the middle of everything? Because you deal with both the executive command and the factory workers, with purchasing and accounting departments.

Víctor: The word I would use is “Fluid”. I seek for collaboration among teamates.

Tere: From your perspective, what do we take care of the most in the process?

Victor: Quality and Service.

Tere: We make unique packaging lines, what does it mean to make a custom product?

Víctor: It gives you new challenges. No two lines are the same. Each one has its nuance. That has been the success of INDUSER, giving those adaptation options to the client.

Tere: What do you like the most about the engineering sector?

Víctor: The issue of manufacturing itself. Feeling that you have collaborated on a project in Australia, Canada, Mexico. Before, I was in a supermarket, doing very monotonous tasks.

Tere: Since you are in the manufacturing process, let's do an imaginary game of role reversal. You are an INDUSER seller, me, the client. What would you tell me to convince me to bet on INDUSER?

Víctor: "I come from INDUSER to offer you our engineering, our packaging solutions. I want you to know that the automated lines we manufacture adapt to your needs". With that already, we won quite a few!

Tere: Can you form a team when a department has only one person? The answer is yes". Among other ways, having people on the team like Víctor, people who serve as a link to make the projects reach deadlines and objectives.

At INDUSER, we strive to advance at the same pace, we are oriented to lead together.
