Health and Safety Training: A Commitment to Safety at INDUSER

In October 2024, four of our colleagues completed a health and safety training course at our facilities. This training, specifically aimed at metal sector workers in production and maintenance areas, was designed to update and reinforce safety measures in our daily operations.

The participants in this course were Antonio Martínez, Francisco Enrique, Juan Mañas and Rubén Vicente, four professionals who have been working at INDUSER for over 15 years. This training allowed them to update their knowledge on the latest safety regulations and recommendations, strengthening their commitment to their own well-being and that of the entire team.

The following key points were addressed during the training:

1. Job definitions: Safe work procedures were reviewed, with a strong emphasis on the importance of following processes rigorously to prevent accidents and minimise risks.

2. Specific preventive techniques: The course delved into the application of the health and safety plan for specific tasks, assessing the particular risks in metalwork. The risks covered included those related to impacts, manual handling of loads, welding operations, exposure to dust, gases, noise, vibrations, and the dangers of working at height or electrical contact. Clear guidelines were provided on the use of collective and personal protective equipment, highlighting the importance of proper placement, maintenance, and usage.

3. Auxiliary equipment, tools, and machinery: The risks associated with the use of auxiliary equipment, tools, and machinery were emphasised, teaching workers how to identify potential hazards and the preventive measures required to reduce those risks.

This course was also delivered in November 2022 to many other colleagues as part of INDUSER’s ongoing responsibility for the well-being and safety of its staff.
