Experience as a strategy for diversification

INDUSER, a company specialising in automated weighing and packaging solutions, has taken a step forward in diversifying its portfolio by designing and manufacturing machinery specifically adapted to the unique characteristics of dates.

To tackle this challenge, INDUSER’s engineering team adapted its chain packaging machine, enabling uniform filling into 1 and 2 kilogram cardboard boxes, while preserving the delicate texture, shape, and integrity of the fruit.

The project was carried out in collaboration with its distributor Packil, and implemented at the facilities of Ardom, a company dedicated to the commercialisation of fruits and dried produce.

As with all its projects, INDUSER began with a proactive listening approach, carefully analysing the client’s needs before delivering a customised solution. In this case, the goal was to integrate the client’s existing combination weigher with the new chain packaging machine, as well as the rest of the automated line at Ardom’s site.

INDUSER’s experience with similar products was key to successfully adapting to the challenges posed by dates: a fragile, sticky product with an irregular surface and great variability in size and texture, requiring highly precise and gentle handling to preserve its quality throughout the process.

This and other solutions will be showcased by INDUSER at the upcoming GreenTech trade fair, taking place in Amsterdam from 10 to 12 June, where the company will be present at stand 05.613 as part of the delegation organised by the Innovacal Cluster.
