The Andalusian operating group CUCUMDATA develops a digital system that reduces the time it takes to sort and package cucumbers, improving product quality.
An Operational Group comprised of five Andalusian entities has developed an innovative system that improves grading and packaging times for cucumbers, increasing production, reducing costs, and improving the final quality of the product. This is the main scope of the Cucumdata project ("Digitalized System for the Creation of Grading and Packaging Strategies"), which concluded this week.
The project includes the Induser group, Ecoinver, Oslice Technology, the Tecnova Technology Center, and the Andanatura Foundation for Sustainable Socioeconomic Development. At a conference held at Ecoinver's headquarters in Almería, the entities presented the results of the project, which aimed to develop a methodology that would reduce grading and packaging times for a particularly delicate product like cucumbers, using a new digitalized system that combines the needs of agri-food producers with new technologies.
